More than 40 years of history, commitment and quality in the export of coffee, cocoa and pepper.

The history of Exporcafé began more than 60 years ago, when Don Manuel Agustín López, a native of Loja, Ecuador, emigrated to Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas in search of better opportunities. Coming from a humble family and raised by his great aunt, he faced many difficulties, but his visionary spirit led him to find new ways to get ahead. He began his working life as a day laborer, but soon discovered that commerce was his true vocation. He sold fresh produce, fish and fabrics by bicycle, until he managed to rent a small warehouse on Quito and Cuenca streets, where he began to buy and sell coffee, chifle and corn. Eventually, together with his wife, Doña Rosario Lapo, they acquired a piece of land on Via Quevedo km 3.5,
where they expanded their operations and began exporting agricultural products. With effort, they managed to position themselves as a recognized company in the industry, always guaranteeing fair prices and personalized attention to farmers. Exporcafé was legally incorporated on April 19, 1983 and, since then, has consolidated its presence in the international market, exporting coffee, cocoa and pepper to various countries. Today, the second generation, made up of Jenny, Manuel and Mirian López, is in charge of the company, with the firm purpose of maintaining the legacy and training the third generation to continue Exporcafé’s mission.
